鈥淚 guess we had a football tournament yesterday鈥� said Clara, the Cleverton goalkeeper, noticing the trophy for the Friendly International Tournament for the Brainy but Absent-Minded on the table.
鈥淚 wish I could remember,鈥� said Sima, the Smarta Prague centre-back. 鈥淚 presume it was the usual 3-points-for-a-win affair with ties settled using goal difference.鈥�
Astutegart鈥檚 star striker, Astrid, agreed. 鈥淚 remember鈥︹�� (she stopped to count) 鈥溾�� four teams all played each other! And in each game, there were exactly three goals.鈥�
鈥淚 remember that we all scored a different total number of goals,鈥� said Inge, Interlecht鈥檚 winger. 鈥淎nd each team scored a different number of goals in each of our games.鈥�
鈥淚 remember,鈥� said Clara, 鈥渢hat we let in more goals than anyone else.鈥� 鈥淚 scored three goals against you, Clara,鈥� said Sima.
鈥淎nd Inge scored three against us,鈥� said Astrid. Inge thought for a moment. 鈥淭hen I can work out who won the tournament鈥�
