Helen Thomson was previously head of features at ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ, and specialises in life sciences, health and biotech. She has a BSc in neuroscience from the University of Bristol, UK, and an MSc in science communication from Imperial College London. She has worked as a journalist and editor at ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ both as a member of staff and as a consultant since 2007. She has also worked as a freelance journalist, publishing articles for the BBC and in Nature and The Guardian, among others. She has also written book reviews for The New York Times. In 2021, she was a finalist at the Medical Journalist Awards for her ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ article on how to give your covid-19 vaccine a boost.
