Sega’s latest games machine will allow you to surf the Web for free as well
as fly flight simulations. The 拢199 Dreamcast console, due to be launched
in the US this month and in Europe next month, displays images on a normal TV
like other consoles. Unlike normal consoles, however, it also has a built-in 33K
modem, providing dial-up access to the Internet without the need for a computer.
The joypad can be used to type on an on-screen keyboard, or a real (cabled)
keyboard can be bought for 拢20. But a Sega spokesman says the device will
not support plug-ins such as RealVideo.
