In the last 15 months 13 people have been killed in
Australia by landslides, according to the Australian Geological Survey
Organisation. Since 1842, 41 landslides are known to have caused death or injury
and another 50 have damaged buildings. Now Marion Leiba from the AGSO is
building a database on landslides. The database, which can be accessed on the
Web, contains information on more than 400 landslides. The AGSO would welcome
input from those who have experienced landslides. The Website is
