Laid down on this operating table are the remains of a聽50,000-year-old baby mammoth nicknamed Yana.聽On 27 March, scientists performed a necropsy on Yana at North-Eastern Federal University in聽Yakutsk, Russia. The carcass,聽which was found in聽thawing permafrost last summer, is聽2聽metres long and weighs 180 kilograms.
