Pi Day is an annual celebration of the world鈥檚 favourite transcendental constant, held each year on the fourteenth day of March 鈥� 3.14 in the US date format. The irrational number, defined by the ratio of a circle鈥檚 circumference to its diameter, has been calculated to 13 trillion digits, but no pattern in the number has yet emerged.
There are many ways to celebrate Pi Day 鈥� reading 鈥減iems鈥�, testing your ability to recall the digits of Pi, or best of all, making (and eating) pies.
