Ever wished you could draw objects in thin air? Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign the world鈥檚 first 3D-printing pen is now available, allowing you to abandon paper and fashion intricate 3D structures. We at 快猫短视频 are thrilled to have the first of these pens in our hands and we would like to hear your best ideas for what to do with it.

, which developed the tool, were inspired to create sculptures, like a model of the Eiffel Tower shown in the video above. But we think the pen could also have scientific applications. Can you think of a science-related use for this new doodling device?

We鈥檒l select the top three entries based on creativity and feasibility; the winners will receive a bespoke 3D-printed object crafted with the pen by a member of our art team.

Terms and conditions:

1. This competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over in all countries, except for employees of Reed Business Information Limited

2. There are three prizes of a bespoke object created with the 3Doodler pen by a member of our art team.

3. Entries must be submitted in the name of a single individual via the web form at http://www.newscientist.com/contact/person?recipient=comp. The individual submitting the entry is the only individual who will be entered into the competition.

4. Entries must be submitted as text typed into the competition form.

5. Entrants must supply their name and a valid email address.

6. Entries must be received by 23:59 GMT on 24 November 2013. No purchase is necessary.

7. 快猫短视频 accepts no responsibility for entries which are not received for any reason, including technical errors in telecommunication networks, internet access or otherwise.

8. The winning entry will be chosen by a panel of judges including representatives from 快猫短视频. The judges鈥 decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. The winning entry may be adapted for inclusion in 快猫短视频 magazine, on newscientist.com and other digital publications.

10. Entrants consent to use by 快猫短视频 of their entry and name for editorial or publicity purposes, should they be shortlisted or a winner.

11. The winner will be notified by email by 27 November 2013. Acknowledgement and confirmation of a secure delivery address is required from the winner before prizes will be dispatched. If for any reason the winner does not respond to the email requesting acknowledgement within seven working days, 快猫短视频 may select an alternative participant from the shortlist of competition winners.

12. The prize is subject to availability, non-transferable, non-divisible and no cash or other alternatives are available.

13. 快猫短视频 reserves the right to change or withdraw the competition and/or prize at any time.
