Patagonian Mesozoic Reptiles, edited by Z. Gasparini, L. Salgado, R. A. Coria

SOME of the earliest dinosaurs have been found in Patagonia. The mouse-sized babies of the prosauropod Mussaurus, the theropod Herrerasaurus, and the 14-metre-long predator Giganotosaurus are just a few of them. Darwin explored the area in the 1830s but didn鈥檛 find any. This book describes over 120 new reptiles found since then, placing them in the geological context of a region whose full dino-potential has yet to be realised. It is an academic text, but an essential, up-to-date collection for any dinosaur buff.
