TO COINCIDE with the new BBC TV series Walking with Monsters, Tim Haines and Paul Chambers have stitched together stunning computer-generated images from the entire Walking with Dinosaurs BBC project, which began 10 years ago. They also provide potted biographies of 112 extraordinary creatures from the past 550 million years. These range from the famous Tyrannosaurus to the less familiar Cameroceras, the biggest squid-like nautiloid ever to have lived. Other delights include Gastornis, a horse-eating bird, and Pterygotus, a 3-metre-long sea scorpion.
