If you suspect you鈥檙e a soft touch for car salespeople, it won鈥檛 help to know
that a gadget has been invented to make them even more persuasive.
Patented by the Bland Partnership of Bermuda, the system works on a hand-held
PC (W0 97/26610). The PC is programmed with a script, which sales assistants
must follow when talking to a customer. They enter the answers to build a
profile of the buyer.
The computer also makes instant calculations on loan repayments so the sales
assistant is always one step ahead of the customer鈥檚 arithmetic.
